Many insurance plans require that the patient share in the cost of the visit by paying a co-payment or a deductible. Co-payments and deductibles are due at the time of the visit per our contracts with the insurance company. Any adult accompanying a minor patient is responsible for paying the co-payment or deductible at the time of visit, regardless of whether this adult is the patient’s Responsible Party.

Prior to each appointment, our Accounts Department will verify your child’s eligibility & benefits specific to the type of visit requested. If your insurance has changed, please notify us immediately as this could delay any payment of your child’s claims. Please note that all insurance companies have a statement to the effect: “Benefits listed under your plan ARE NOT A GUARANTEE OF PAYMENT” and only general details may be given. You may be responsible for any deductible, co-pay or out-of-pocket expense. According to our contracts with the insurance companies, these amounts are ALWAYS due at the time of service and cannot be waived.

If you are unable to pay when your child is ill, please call our Accounts Department and we will help make arrangements prior to your arrival. We NEVER turn a sick patient away for any reason, including inability to pay. Unfortunately, we are unable to finance deductibles and co-pays for well child visits. These amounts must be paid at the time of service or your well child appointment. We will be happy to reschedule you at a more convenient time when you are able to pay.Non-payment of co-payments or deductibles may result in billing charges and collection activity.
