Pediatric Affiliates follows the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for routine “well child” and preventive care. We believe that routine well child care examinations play an important role in keeping children healthy. During the well child care exams, your provider will go over your child’s growth and development. 
You will be able to ask any questions about your child’s health and development. The provider will examine your child and discuss age specific health, behavior and safety issues. These visits often include a vision and hearing screening, required lab work and routine immunizations. We encourage both parents to attend the well child checks together and ask questions regarding their child’s health and development. Make sure you bring your child’s immunization record so that we can update it at these visits.
During a routine preventive well child check, we will perform the following services:
- Routine physical examinations for school, scout, athletic, camp, and preventive “well child” visits.
- Vaccinations and allergy shots.
- Vision and hearing testing.
- We will make sure that your child is current on immunizations and we will always use combination vaccines from the manufacturer, if available.
- Give anticipatory advice to help you until our next visit.
